2024 Reflections: A Year of Leaps, Lessons, and New Beginnings
What a year 2024 was, right?
Well, that’s the end of the blog. Thanks for joining me in my journey. See you next year!
...Okay, you caught me. Of course, I’m kidding! Can you imagine if I actually ended it like that? Shortest blog ever. Let’s try this again—properly this time.
2024 has been a year of transformation and change for me—a year of stepping out, trusting myself and my intuition, and finally prioritizing my mental health. It’s been a year of taking leaps of faith. A lot changed this year: a new role, a new home, and the launch of this platform, Tech She Secures. It’s hard to put into words how much this year has shaped me, but I’m going to try.
What I Learned
As I reflect on this year, I realize how much I’ve grown—not just professionally, but personally—and the lessons I’ve learned along the way have reshaped how I see myself, my work, and the world around me:
Find the Right Mentors: Mentors are invaluable. They provide guidance, share their wisdom, and often believe in you even when you doubt yourself. This year, I’ve been so lucky to have mentors who inspired and encouraged me.
Find Your Tribe: Surround yourself with people who truly support you. These are the ones who lift you up, celebrate your successes, and stand by you in tough times. My tribe has been my rock this year.
Ask for Help—People Want to Help: One of the most rewarding lessons I’ve learned is that asking for help doesn’t make you less independent; it makes you stronger. Whether it was advice on launching Tech She Secures or navigating a tough decision, I found that people genuinely want to help. Asking questions opened doors I didn’t even know existed and connected me with individuals who generously shared their time and expertise. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you lean on others and allow them to support you.
Trust Your Intuition: When you find yourself at a crossroads, trust that you already hold the answer deep within. You know what aligns with your well-being, values, and aspirations. Listen to that inner voice and follow its guidance.
Don’t Feel Guilty Prioritizing Yourself: This year, I learned the importance of prioritizing my mental and emotional well-being. Self-care isn’t a reward—it’s a necessity. Whether it’s setting boundaries, stepping away to recharge, or simply making time for things that bring you peace and joy, taking care of yourself is the foundation for everything else. You can’t show up for others unless you show up for yourself first.
Chase Your Dreams: It’s never too late. Taking a leap of faith is terrifying, but the reward is worth it. If you’re on the edge of making a big change, I’m here to tell you to go for it.
Know Your Worth: Stay humble, but never let anyone make you doubt your value. It’s not arrogant to recognize your strengths; it’s empowering.
Give Back: Supporting others and giving back is one of the most fulfilling things you can do. Find those who match your energy and hold onto them tightly. Helping others has been a huge source of joy for me.
Family and Friends Matter Most: At the end of the day, nothing compares to the love and support of your family and friends. They’re the ones who truly see you and cheer for you no matter what.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Tech She Secures is just getting started. It is a work in progress—and so am I. As I think about what’s next, I feel a mix of excitement and optimism. There’s so much potential for growth and impact, and I’m eager to see where this journey takes us. In 2025, you can expect even more authentic stories—not just from me but from incredible people across industries and countries. This platform will continue to be a space for open conversations, personal growth, and professional insights.
To everyone reading this: thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, kind words, and belief in this platform have meant the world to me.
As we close out the year, I wish you happy holidays and a year filled with joy, good health, and success—whatever success means to you. Stay BAD—bold, authentic, and driven!
